Q4 2019: PACM/HUGS Update; Bible Delivery; Fundraising Efforts Update; Child Spotlight

PACM/HUGS Update: This fall we reached out to our friends and supporters for edcuation sponsorships for the children at the Pillars of Africa Children's Ministry (PACM), and the response was amazing! Thank you to all of our education sponsors! Your generosity allowed us to pay all of the tuition costs for the children and they have all successfully completed their final term of the year!

We are also excited to announce the launch of our full sponsorship program! You can now go to our HUGS website at www.hugsforuganda.com and find Sponsorships under the Donate menu option. When you click on Sponsorships, you will be able to see all of the children who have found a home at PACM and will be able to choose your level of monthly support. Each child has 2 shares to cover their basic needs including food, medicine, clothing and education. 1 share is $39 per month and 2 shares is $78 per month. Please consider sharing this giving opportunity with your friends, family, Sunday School class, Bible study group, etc. Together we can ensure they don't go another day without the most basic of needs.

Christmas is coming soon! In 2017, the children were able to get shoeboxes from Operation Christmas Child. Last year and this year, they have been told there are not enough shoeboxes to go around. If you would like to help brighten their Christmas with a small gift, you can go to the donate page on the website and choose "Christmas" and make your donation. Patrick, founder of PACM, will video the children opening their gifts and we will post it on the HUGS website and FaceBook pages.

Bibles!

Huge thank you to my long-time friend and sister in Jesus, Jill Evans. Jill's ministry, Hope Journey Walk and their supporters recently sent a shipment of Bibles with a rose petal bookmark for each child and a personal letter from two children praying for them.

In addition, Jill is providing a weekly Women's Bible Study and Prayer Group via Zoom to the women of PACM and the surrounding community in Uganda. God is moving in so many ways, and we are blessed to have so many partners answering God's call to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of the children and staff at PACM. Please check out Jill's ministry on her website www.hopejourneywalk.com or on her Hope Journey FaceBook page and consider hosting a Hope Journey Walk in your community or joining her 42 Days of Prayer or Magnolia Ladies group. I know you will be blessed!

Fundraising: You can now choose to support Hearts United in God's Service (HUGS) when you shop on AmazonSmile.com. Same prices and selection as Amazon.com, but when you shop on Amazon Smile, a percentage of your purchase goes to the charity of your choosing. It is an easy way to shop for what you need and help the children at PACM at the same time!
