Pillars of Africa Children's Ministry

Pillars of Africa Children's Ministry

The Pillars of Africa Children’s Ministry (PACM) is located in the Wakiso district of Uganda and offers help and hope to orphans and other impoverished children and their families. Patrick Kunihira and his wife Madinah are the founders of this ministry which started as a Sunday School children’s choir in 2012 with 9 children. The ministry has grown through the years and now cares for 56 orphaned and abandoned children.

HUGS is committed to providing food, clothing, education, and healthcare for these children. You can join us in these efforts with either a one-time or recurring donation, or a monthly sponsorship.

The Kunihiras and Pillar staff are dedicated to sharing the Gospel with the children and the community through Bible studies, worship services, children's church, and their Pillars Children's Choir at EPIC Church. Please check out the needs of the church on the Pillars Programs page.

The Pillars of Africa Nursery and Primary Schools provide education for Pillars residential children as well as children in their community. The Nursery school enrolls an average of 60 children and the Primary School enrolls an average of 100 children. Sponsorship opportunities are available to support Teacher salaries and teaching materials, and scholarships for children whose families cannot afford school fees.

Pillars seeks to provide tools for women and men to learn skills that will help them care for their families.  The Pillars Vocational Program offers classes in sewing, hair dressing, computers, welding, and carpentry. These programs are alway in need of supplies and materials, since many who need to learn these skills cannot pay for the classes.

Please join us and our partner churches and organization in these efforts to spread the Gospel and meet the needs of our brothers and sisters in Uganda.
